$75,000 Granted to Colorado State University for Pet Cancer Treatment

The Petco Foundation is a known non-profit organization that aims to change, lead, and inspire proper care and treatment for animals. They have partnered with the Blue Buffalo Foundation since 2010 in a fight against pet cancer and have more than $16 million in the endeavor.

As one of the 11 universities in the United States with veterinary oncology, Colorado State University Flint Animal Cancer Center will receive $75k this fall from the two non-profits. The purpose - to continue the treatment of animal cancer and help pet owners spend more time with their beloved furry friends.

As Dr. Susan Lana, Oncology Service Chief at CSU Flint Animal Cancer Center said, “Not only do pets receive the care they need, but these cases also allow our team an opportunity to learn and advance care for future pet patients.”
