Twillow Rose, an award-winning Shiloh shepherd therapy dog, has touched the lives of people from Calgary. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with cancer back in 2019 and was forced to retire because the treatments failed.
In honor of her service, residents of the city gathered at Pearce Estates Park for a concert. A local musician named Christopher Barran wrote the song titled “Roses Love the Rain” and performed it during the gathering.
The pooch was trained and is owned by Straja Linder King, a former instructor from the University of Lethbridge. Now, she specializes in psychotherapy and animal-assisted clinical art therapy at Strawberry Moon Counselling. She said, "I'm so blessed that she's still on earth."
