Arkansas-Based Facility Will Train Service Dogs for People in Need

Claire McCullar was diagnosed with PTSD, ADD, and anxiety at an early age. Melissa, her mother, got her a job as an animal groomer in Mountainburg and saw how Claire was very comfortable with animals.

Because of this, Claire asked her mom if she could have a service dog to help with her anxiety. Melissa then found a trainer in Joplin, Missouri, and explained what she and her daughter were going through.

Along with Tim Franks, the trainer from Joplin, Claire trained two of her service dogs Cricket and Goose. She learned valuable experience as a service dog trainer and got her certification at the age of 15. This inspired the McCullars to open K9 Elite Academy in Mulberry to help those who are struggling to afford a service dog train one for a more affordable price.
