Claire Barnett is a cum laude from Vanderbilt's Peabody School, with a Bachelor of Science in Human and Organizational Development. She lives an extraordinary life and doesn’t let her autism and ADHD stop her from achieving her dreams or doing what she wants.
Barnett has been skiing since she was 3 years old. When she had the opportunity to ski again after contracting COVID-19 and recovering from it, she took it. The problem was, her service dog, Maeve, wasn’t allowed to ski with her.
“But when the ski patrol officers flagged me down, they insisted that no matter what the ADA says, service animals are not allowed on the slopes,” said Barnett. Luckily, Maeve was allowed to ski with Claire due to her persistence.
