Bernese Mountain Dog Puppy Offers Comfort in North Carolina Funeral Home

We often see emotional support animals in settings such as airports and school. But the funeral industry may be starting to embrace their therapeutic benefits.

Meet Mochi, a 9-week old Bernese Mountain Dog puppy. Mochi has still not received therapy dog training, but she will when she reaches 6 months. Currently, she socializes with grieving clients at Macon Funeral Home in North Carolina. She has already won the hearts of visitors!

On its Facebook page, the funeral home posted, “We hope she will become a member of our grief support team and make therapy visits to those in need with her mom, Tori McKay. Stop by and meet her, she loves making new friends! 🖤🐻🤎”
