Catoosa County Seniors Get to Enjoy Therapy Service Dogs for Free

A February 4 Board of Commissioners meeting in a county in Georgia sealed the deal on allowing senior citizens to interact with therapy service dogs in the Catoosa County Senior Center.

Marie Barbee, an employee of the Senior Center and the Trans-Aid Department, was the mastermind for the agreement between the county and a local therapy dog organization (Therapy Dogs International).

She sought the agreement to happen as a way to entice enthusiasm and to make the visiting of seniors to the center more beneficial for their physical health.
