Emotional Support Dog Stars In Agriculture Classes

West Canada Valley Junior-Senior High School students are privileged to take classes with an emotional support dog named Jenny. Jenny is a German Shepherd whose owner, Kiley Treen, wanted her students to be engaged and have a real-world experience.

The school superintendent and board members make everyone know that Jenny will be present in school at times. When Jenny walks through the halls, students can be heard saying, “Jenny’s here today!”

Treen was able to witness the positive impact that Jenny had on students’ attitudes and behaviors, including students who were outside of her classes.
