Four Legged “Therapy” Friends Roam Around Southampton Airport

Are you an anxious traveler? Do you know someone who is? Because Southampton Airport has a new team of four-legged friends, called the Canine Crew, that will calm nervous passengers. Canine Crew’s presence will be semi-permanent.

Head of Passenger Operations Simon Young says that these therapy dogs will not only be able to help passengers, but also the airport staff. The Ops team also mentions that the simple act of stroking a dog can lower heart rate and blood pressure. Passengers who are about to step foot on a plane will feel a sense of calm.
