Your dog is a part of your family and even more than that. He can be a comforter, a best friend, a guardian - you name it.
Saying goodbye to him can be hard on your part. It never gets easier every time you do so, and nobody deserves to be subjected to that level of grief. Yet, death is unavoidable and we’ll eventually leave the world. So, how are supposed to deal with the death of your pet?
Grieve at your own pace. Don't force yourself or rush moving on, only time will tell and not others. Remember that your negative reaction is normal, so don't suppress it. Even dogs do feel sadness, shock, and anger. But like every living thing out there, the reaction is a part of life.
Take care and look after yourself because others will get affected when they see you hurt, may that someone be your other dog or a family member.
