Indian Police Cause Trouble for Pet Owners and Vet Clinic Staffs

Navi Mumbai, India - A dog in need of veterinary help has died as a result of local police refusing to provide an essential service pass to its owner thrice. Even veterinarians and clinic staff are prohibited from going to work.

Not only that, but both pet owners and clinic staff face opposition from local residents before they can reach clinics. “My society has said that if I go out, I must not come back in. I have two cats at home. How can I not come back?” said Dharvesh Yadav, a para vet working in a clinic at Andheri who hasn’t reported for the past 4 days.
