Residents at Atria 86 Spend Time with Special Visitors

At Atria West 86, seniors look forward to two Wednesday evenings of each month. What’s so special about these days? Well, therapy dogs together with their human handlers from The Good Dog Foundation pay them a visit.

Last November 14, four teams visited Atria 86. Therapy dogs that came included a Bichon, Bernese Mountain Dog, Chihuahua rat terrier mix, and a Greyhound. The Director of Marketing at The Good Dog Foundation says that visits to Atria 86 benefit the senior residents in that they feel less stressed and get have an improved mood.
