Kayla Feeser, 17 years old, is a Route 91 Survivor. Although she and her mom got out unharmed, everything they saw and heard had lasting effects. Kayla was always getting flashbacks of the event. Rebecca Hudson, Kayla’s mom, says that her daughter couldn’t get up to go to school on some days because of the flashbacks.
The good news is that Rebecca reached out to Smarty Paws, a group that trains thousands of dogs in a variety of disciplines - therapy dog, service dog, and more. With the help of Las Vegas Animal Assisted Therapy, Kayla was able to get a dog which she named Harvest (after the festival). Harvest will help calm Kayla down and may even accompany her to college.
