The stigma on service animals is now escalating for the worse when one dog who was allegedly wearing a service vest attacked a disabled veteran at a Walmart in Great Falls, Montana.
The victim, Nick Aristonic, was shopping with his son and his own service dog when another service dog attacked him. A week after the incident, volunteer puppy raisers organization Big Sky Chapter Canine Companions for Independence held a seminar on how different service dogs are from other support animals.
Service dogs are said to be calm at all times. So if one were to be aggressive, it wasn’t a legitimate service canine.
