Service Dogs to Recieve Eye Exams at MedVet

Lexington Kentucky’s MedVet will provide complimentary eye checkups in May to service and working animals as part of the annual ACVO (American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists) / Epicur National Service Animal Eye Exam Event. Eye health is a crucial issue for the safety of service animals and their handlers alike.

The philanthropic event will be participated by seven board-certified ophthalmologists who will provide the free ocular screenings to certified active service animals. Service animals include disability assistance animals, drug detection, police/military dogs, search and rescue, guide, and therapy animals that underwent a formal training program.

Screenings will be by appointment only in May and to schedule. Please call MedVet Lexington at 859-276-2505.
