Texas State to Send Aid for Animals Displaced by Wildfires

Veterinary experts will be sent by the government of Texas to California. They have two missions: One to provide caring aid for all the animals in the area affected by the ongoing wildfires. Two, help in alleviating the stress faced by the local responders. This was announced last Friday, September 25, 2020, by the Governor of Texas Greg Abbott.

"Texas is always ready to answer the call to help our fellow Americans in their time of need," said Abbott. Six agents from the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and nine members of the Texas A&M Veterinary Emergency Team (VET) have already been deployed to Butte County, California last Saturday.
