This Family Aims to Raise Money for Childrenā€™s Diabetes Alert Dogs

The death of a family member often causes heartbreak in the house. But for the Griers, it inspired them to help others. Back in 2019, Mandy Grier died at the age of 42. She was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when she was 7 years old. As a result, she often needed to be supervised.

But that changed when Mylo the Yellow Labrador came. As a diabetic alert dog, Mylo gave Mandy the means to live a more free, loving, and independent life. In honor of her memory, her family started M&M Angel Service Dogs - a fundraiser aimed to raise money so a child can get a diabetic alert dog.
